Paper Playtime Digi Monday 2-28

Hello BlogLand!

How are all my favorite crafters? Good I hope! Well this week at Paper Playtime it is Digi Monday again yay! We had a crazy crazy amount of entry's last month and WE LOVED IT!!!!! It makes us so happy that y'all participate with us! I love seeing all of your beautiful creations. We have so many wonderful sponsors one who I am also happen to design for ;) I am so lucky! I know I know! Anyway so I picked 2 from our wonderful sponsors and it was so hard let me tell you! I chose Digital Delights by Louby Loo ( yes I am a little partial here ha ha) and Prairie Fairy.

I colored Larry with copics for the face and my BIC Mark Its for the rest of him. The Sentiment came from a DCWV paper stack called Doodling Around and I just cut it from the paper. I used a sheet of paper from the same stack to make the background and tied a white ribbon to the bottom. Isn't he cute?

This nurse is for my beautiful sister who is in CRNA school doing her residency yay Cole! I just loved this nurse she is too funny! Cole has long beautiful blond straight hair not curly like mine this girl has hair like me ha ha! Anyway I colored her face with copics but her outfit I colored with the Wet Looks markers and heat embossed with glitter powder to give her sparkle! I cut the sentiment from the same paper as the card above! The background I used my cuttlebug to emboss! Daisy Doodles Sketch

Hey Crafty Friends!

This week at Daisy Doodles we are having a sketch challenge! I was a little worried because I am not so good at these but this one is super easy. If I can do it so can you so go on and try! I made this card and I hoping that I will not have to use it for a long time but I am thinking that may not be the case. Please keep my family in your prayers right now we need them very bad! This is a peace stamp that many used for Easter but it can be used as a sympathy card as well. I colored it using my BIC Mark Its. I typed the sentiment and used white ribbon around the card. I kind of messed up the sketch a little. It is kind of backwards so do not judge mine to the sketch check out the other designers or the website! I hope you enjoy and have a fabulous week!

Digitial Delights Little Dumplings

Hey y'all!

OK so I am so so sorry that I am late. My internet has been off for the past 3 days I have been going through withdrawals! I seriously thought that I was going to check into rehab! It is FINALLY back on. Here is my card for Digital Delights! This week I used the digi stamp little dumpling with bunny slippers. I used the sentiment "When I get big I'll get even." I saw this and immediately thought of Cash and his Halloween costume because I thought he was adorable but he may kill me when he gets older!

I used my copic markers E000, and E00 as well as the colorless blender to color the face. I colored the rest with my BIC Mark Its. I added a yellow ribbon and 2 yellow brads to tie it all together. I hope you enjoy and I am sorry again that it is late!

Paper Playtime Technology

Hey Guys!

Happy Monday! I hope you all are having a good week so far! This week at Paper Playtime our challenge is to make a technology project. Well since Cash had his first birthday this week Coleton needed a prize! I made him robot puppets. I used the Robotz cartridge and cut them at 4 inches and painted them with modge podge! I then attached them to Popsicle sticks! I made him 2 so they can play together in his imagination! I hope that you enjoy!

Daisy Doodles 2-21-11

Hey Guys!

This week at Daisy Doodles it is a free week! Well what better way to do a free week than to use a free image? This was a free image on the website a few weeks ago I hope you all grabbed it! There are so many fun things you can do with this one. I chose a funny card where I wrote the sentiment "Don't Hang me out to Dry!"

I colored the image with my Bic Mark its! I added the green satin ribbon on the bottom! I hope you enjoy!

Digital Delights Animals Challenge

Hello all,

Happy Thursday! Today is my second challenge as a member of the fabulous design team of Digital Delights by Louby Loo. This week our challenge is animals! Well what a fun challenge because as you all know there are many many many animal digi stamps in the shop! I chose Rainy Day Dilly Duck and is she not just the cutest thing? I also used the Ticket Stamp (Just for you)

I used one piece of paper that I just cut up to make the background of this card. It is a page from the DCWV Animal Crackers Stack. I used a blue ribbon from paper studio. I drew the faux stitching with a white gel pen. Now on to Dilly and the sentiment. I colored her with crayola colored pencils and blended them with a blending pencil and paint thinner. Here is the inside of the card. I used the blank ticket sentiment for the inside and I typed the sentiment. I colored it rainbow I just thought it fit! As I was coloring I was literally chanting in my head Roy G Biv. This is how I learned the colors of the rainbow when I was a child and it still gets stuck in my head when I color it ha ha! I know I am a total dork! Anyway here is the inside to brighten a day of someone having one of those days!

Daisy Doodles Glitter Challenge

Hi!

This week at Daisy Doodles our challenge was to make a project using glitter. I chose the Doodle Bug stamp.The sentiment comes with the stamp and I just printed it twice and made the second one smaller. I cut out the heart and stuck it on the car with a zap dot. I hand drew the glitter hearts with gold stickles. The glitter on the car is used with wet looks markers and glitter embossing powder! I hope you enjoy! SO SORRY it is late! It will not happen again!

Digitial Delights Get Punchy

Hey Guys!

I am so sorry but I had this post scheduled to post yesterday and for some reason it not only did not post but it got deleted! Leave to me and my computer issues to mess up my very first design project for the new design team that I on. This week at Digital Delights by Louby Loo the challenge is get punchy. So get out your punches and die cuts and get creative! I used this super cute stamp called Love you Lara!

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom lace punch. I used 2 different flower punches to make the flowers and colored them with my copics and made them look tie dyed by using the colorless blender.I added some glaze pens to add some extra effects. I added some stickles to her wings to make them sparkle! I added a Valentine ribbon to the bottom! Don't forget to stop by the store because all of the Valentine's Day stamps are on sale 50% off so now is the time to stock up! I hope you enjoy my card and forgive me for being late! Daisy Doodles Playtime!

They Say Its Your Birthday Blog Hop

It is FINALLY here! I have been waiting for this hop for like ever! First let me say Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Ashley, Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday sweet girl this is for you and we all love you!
I am not sure that I have ever been so honored as I was to be asked by my good friend Erika to participate in this hop for her beautiful daughter! I love birthdays anyone that knows me I always do it big for birthdays because it is the only day of the year that is all about you! So Ashley deserves to have this special Beatles Birthday hop just for her!

So Erika and Ashley are both huge Beatles fans but seriously who is not right? Just Sayin' We got to chose a song and create a card or project based on the lyrics. This was really hard for me because there were so many choices! I decided on Twist and Shout because I just got the cartridge Groovy Times and have been dying to use it!

I cut the circle from Storybook and embossed it using my cuttlebug. I cut these cute guys from Goovy Times because they looked liked they were doing the twist! I distressed the edges and inked them a little too much I think I was not real happy with the way it looked but it gives it character! I added some swirl brads and hand wrote the Twist and Shout! So the inside says I hope you twist and shout all day on your birthday. I sent this card to Ashley so I hope she got it and it brings a smile to her pretty face! Paper Playtime Challenge # Use Cupid or a Heart

I hope that all of you are having a great Monday. I hope you all survived and recovered from last night's game. I mean what a game right? I watch it for the commercials and music if I do not follow the teams that are in the Super Bowl. Now last year was a totally different story! Anyway so this week at Paper Playtime our challenge is to use cupid or a heart. So of course since Valentine's Day is almost here yeah like exactly a week away, I decided to make my hubby a coupon book. Well if he doesn't start being nicer then he wont get it! I used the sweetheart cartridge for the cupid. I added clear stickles to his wings and embossed with glitter the heart and arrow to add some extra. Well I guess I should start from the beginning. I used a rice krispies box for my chipboard. I cut the heart tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. I covered them with various paper from a wedding pack of paper that I have.
For the font I used Birthday Bash. I have been wanting to use my cricut markers. I have had them but for some reason I was scared to use them well not anymore I LOVE them! I outlined with red and filled in with a pink marker by hand. I made this like a mini album and each page will have a different coupon.

I will show you one of the pages but I will make you come up with your own ideas for your coupons. I am so g-rated that most of you might make fun of me if you read them ha ha! I also wanted to try a new technique that I learned using my copics and the colorless blender in a water brush. I wish that I could remember where I saw this tutorial so I could link it here but I tried to find it this week and could not. So this is one of my coupons! I hope that you enjoy it! Daisy Doodles 2-7

Hey Guys!

Happy Monday!

This is an off week over at Daisy Doodles which means that I get to have an anything goes card yay! These are my favorite! I chose a new stamp that is so stinkin' cute when you see it you so are going to want it! Not only does it have this really cute boy dino that I used there is a girl one and she is just adorable! I chose the boy because this is going to be Coleton's Valentine's Day card! I colored this image with my copics and blended them with my  colorless blender. I added a sentiment from the sentiment pack that I told you about that is FREE in the store
I also added a valentine ribbon on the bottom but no bow since it is for a boy! I added a few brads to add a little extra! I hope you enjoy!

The inside of the card I added some flowers (yeah I know they are kinda girly but I tried a new technique with my copics and I wanted to use them) SO I used them on the inside! I mean hey he is only 3!

What a new Transformer Movie???? Oh I am so there! Chris will have to cash in one of his Valentine's Day coupons for this hopefully he will think it is a total boy movie and I will not have to see a movie I hate! Cause I LOVE some transformers ha ha sometimes I think I should have been a boy! OK maybe not I love pink and glitter too much!

Super Bowl Cookies!

Hey Again!

OK so I am so super excited that I have started this new adventure! I am starting to make specialty cookies! I am a newbie and learning with this but I am so excited to be doing this. I will be making these for friends and family for parties or events or whoever else is interested. I just wanted to show you guys my first batch! Literally my first ones ever I was so proud of myself! We have a super bowl party to go to tomorrow night and I made these as favors! I am making some fabulous dip as well but these were so much fun! I can't wait to make Valentine cookies Monday! I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think! Oh by the way they are delicious and I am not just saying that! I am my number one worst critic so if they were bad I would totally tell you!

Aren't they just too cute! We are really not going for either team I mean we are not huge fans so I just made footballs! Last year we went all out being such HUGE saints fans but this year not so much!

The icing is not chocolate it is almond flavored I just dyed it to look that way! They are by no means flawless but for my first batch I was pleased!

Daisy Doodles Red and a Sentiment

Hey Guys!

So I have really been so busy today trying to get caught up on all of my crafting! I have had so much going on lately and I have been such a slacker. I know many of you do not know this because I try and keep my complaining to a minimum cause this is all fun and no one wants to hear whining. I have been real sick this month and as a result I am anemic. This is not a real big deal since they only want me to take iron pills but it makes me so tired and so moody (my poor family). I still have sweet Cash who is not sleeping through the night and so I am exhausted. Well I have been failing my design teams and that is not something that I do!I will step it up and I promise deliver my best! Even if I am sleep deprived and you may have to ignore the grammar because I may not make much sense! So enough complaining! Thank you to all my faithful followers and my wonderful wonderful design teams for being so GREAT!

This week at Daisy Doodles our challenge was to make a card using Red and a Sentiment. Well how easy is that right? Perfect for me because this is going to be Chris' Valentine's Day card. I used a sentiment that is part of a lot of sentiments that come with this set. Jules is offering it for free so go on over and grab it! You still have plenty of time to enter the challenge this week!

I distressed the edges and inked them with black soot ranger inks. I used clear stickles to bling up the heart. It is very plain and simple but you know guys they do not like all the frill! So I hope you join us this week in this fabulous challenge! Have a great night!

Awards!

Hey Guys!

I always feel so special when I get awards like I am getting an Oscars ha ha! So my sweet sweet friend at Vindeeloo's this and that sent me this stylish blog award.

This is my second time to get it but I am still just as honored! I love this because you learn so much about people! The rules are simple I have to tell you 8 things about myself that you might not know and in return if I pick your blog you have to tell 8 things about yourself and pick 8 blogs to give it to. 1. I am starting my own blog design business it is not quite up and running yet but I will give you the website soon!
2. I just recently lost 35 pounds!
3. I LOVE to sing and got a scholarship to sing in college but had to pursue a more practical major!
4. I am also starting my own designer cookie business (as I type with hot pink fingers :) (that is one no one but my hubby knew) (pictures will be coming soon)
5. I am a HUGE country music fan and am totally obsessed with Taylor Swift! I am also in love with Johnny Cash hence my youngest child's name Cash Wyatt Carter. Plus you know his name was meant to be since Johnny was married to June Carter Cash I mean hello? ;)
6. I love God and am amazing by the miracles that I see everyday!
7. I am so blessed to have the talent that God gave me and I love sharing it with the world!
8. Last but not least I have the most wonderful husband in the world that treats me like the princess that I am and I am totally a princess ask anyone who knows me well! He has taken on that responsibility since day one and trust me it is definitely a responsibility! We have 2 beautiful boys Coleton Wilson Carter 3yrs and Cash Wyatt Carter will be 1 on the 18th (tears :(
